About GMI
The Green Mountain Institute for Environmental
Democracy (GMI) seeks to reinvigorate the essential
connections among the public, government, and information
necessary for effective improvements in environmental quality.
GMI accomplishes this through the
development, use and support of collaborative, information-based
processes. These processes enhance the opportunities for and
capacity of citizens, stakeholders, scientists, and government
representatives to participate in proactive dialogues and decisions
about environmental quality and its relationship with human
health, economic vitality, and our quality of life.
